When I first saw Villa Botanica I couldn't believe how much it reminded me of my own style, particularly my dressing table and that was my inspiration for our 5 meter long reception table. This was hand carved wooden boxes by Samantha Wills as I have a vast collection of her jewellery, peacock feathers and mirrors with lots of silver and glass trinkets and lots of candles and flowers.
Our decorations included glass baubles with peacock feathers and phalenopsis orchids that lined the Wedding Isle on hooks and once the ceremony ended we removed the baubles to use as features on our reception table.
We also had hanging glass baubles with candles and peacock feathers line the verandah where we held the reception.
The 5 metre long table with white Tiffany chairs was a complete work of art we had silver/light grey runners with 6 sections of mirrors and on top of those were many different sized vases full of flowers and short peacock feathers and different silver and glass candle holders with lit votive candles and stacks of different sized hand carved Samantha Wills wooden boxes with peacock feathers and orchards intertwined. In between each of the mirror set ups were 4 lots of crystal candelabra’s with a floral ball topper of all the chosen fresh flowers in all shades of pink and white with stems of the main flower the phalenopsis orchid hanging from them with lit candles and a central tall vase in the middle of the table with long peacock feathers and dripping phalenopsis orchids and a shorter vase underneath it for my bouquet as a gorgeous feature centre piece.
Our table was absolutely spectacular Janelle and team from The Flower Hut and Yana and team from I Do Events brought my dream and vision to life. It still brings tears to my eyes when I see the photo's. It was truly dream like and just magical and when the sun went down and and it was all lit up, with the backing of the fairy lights it looked even better.
